


Subnautica's classic opening cutscene- short, sweet, and appropriately void of hand-holding or storytelling- is hard to beat, but I enjoyed Below Zero's introduction as a stylistic foil to the original. Feel free to just look at the ratings at the bottom of each section and only read the explanations that you want to. Warning: I just finished the game and wrote way more on it than I needed to. Let me know if I left out anything that you thought was important!

The original Subnautica is one of my favorite games of all time, so I thought I'd come and share how the BZ stacked up to its predecessor. I bought Below Zero as soon as it released on PC, and played through the entirety of the game blind over the course of the last week, having poured roughly 48 hours into the title.
